  1. Dear Professor Bell,

论平民的自由, originally published in Stockholm as Thoughts on Civil Liberty/Tankar om
Borgerliga Friheten (1759) is now available in Mandarin.

The original work was banned by the Swedish authorities, but is, arguably, one
of the least known highlights of 18C Enlightenment literature,
promoting, inter alia, freedom of expression and religion, limited
    government and access to information.

Professor Bell, this email is firstly to inform you about the
publication. It can be conveniently accessed at our website

Second, I would welcome your advice as to whom else to contact to
further publicise and promote the work and also to suggest it be
included in appropriate class reading lists.

Finally, I am working with the Swedish Embassy in Beijing to organise
an event to launch the Mandarin text and I do hope you would be able
to be a part of that.

    Best wishes,

  2. Please blog daily. A simple quote from a source like the Analects will do!

  4. Everything said was very reasonable. But, consider this, what if you added
a little content? I ain’t suggesting your content isn’t good,
however suppose you added a title that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean Website just launched! | Daniel A. Bell (贝淡宁) is kinda boring. You should look at Yahoo’s home page and watch how they write post headlines
to get people interested. You might add a related video or a related
pic or two to get people excited about everything’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it would make your posts a little bit more interesting.
